We are an impartial and independent "Advanced NDT" entity, specialised in the Corrosion Mapping and Constructions Integrity

We help owners /contractors /manufacturers /Authorities, to realise assessments in the Oil & Gas sector.

SWISS APPROVAL Main Scope of Advanced NDT Activities, are the so called "Mapping the Corrosion", the "Identification of Defects in any kind of metallic constructions", the "Inspection and Certification of existing or New Installations, under Pressure".

Respecting the principles of Non Conflict of Interest, Confidentiality and Integrity of services, we are specialised in the Advanced Non Destructive Testing, acting as an Impartial and Independent entity, accredited for the interpretation of Testing Reports, according ISO 17020 as Type A/B Inspection Body.

    • Advance NDT technology, developed by our own equipment and qualified employees:

  • Guided UT, for pipes inspection during operation, using a combination of longitudinal and torsional waves, starting from 2’’ inches up to 48’’ inches.
  • HEAT EXCHANGERS – Shell & Direct Tubes - inspection and testing with use of IRIS/NFT/RFT/NFA. NFA method is the latest technology worldwide in the field.
  • HEAT EXCHANGERS – Shell & “U” Tubes - inspection and testing with use of Reflective Acoustic Emission. RAE is the unique method using the latest technology worldwide in the subject.
  • PHASED ARRAY and TOFD, using TFM imaging, the latest technology in the subject. Applied as Automatic, Semi-automatic and Manual process.
  • High temperature surfaces thickness measurement, from 200 to 1000 Celsius, with combination of traditional UT and EMAT techniques.
  • Corrosion mapping with Robotics systems for Tanks, New Shipping Constructions, Spheres and Vessels.
  • MFL for bottom inspection of tanks.
  • Acoustic Emissions for pressure vessels
  • Infrared Inspection with high technology wide lens cameras
  • Composites inspection with UT specific scanners and probes
  • Geometrical Scanning of industrial spaces, with advanced scanning and design tools
  • Magnetic inductive method for Wire Ropes inspection
  • ON-LINE inspection of Safety Valves, during operation. Issue of conformity certificate for 1 year validity.
  • ON-LINE inspection of Flanges
  • Robotic inspection of welds and joints in pressure vessels or other equipment, with advanced UT or other advanced NDT technology.
  • Digital Radiography, with use of specific profilometric S/W, for the detection of defects and corrosion mapping.
  • Building structures inspection for reinforcement steels corrosion mapping, using advanced UT, EMAT and MFL inspection tools.
  • DRONES Visual Inspection, with Thermocameras and Wide Lenses cameras of very high resolution. Up to 20 Km distance. Swiss Approval has 4 Drones Inspections Teams, with latest technology Drones.
  • DRONES UT /UTM Inspection, measuring thickness of materials, using exclusively the specific Drones, for external as well as internal confined spaces. A unique possibility for Swiss Approval clients.

    • Inspection Methodology : Advanced NDT inspection tools, are designed to support certain inspection methodologies and resuls has to be in accordance with the methodology principles. Many of Swiss Approval tools, can support more than one Inspection methodologies, giving to our Inspection Teams, a strong and unique competitive advantage.
    • Human Resources : Swiss Approval Advanced NDT Equipment, is exclusively used by our Authorised and Qualified personnel. We never grand the use of our advanced NDT equipment, to un-authorized persons, of any other subcontractors.
    • Logistics : Transportation of Advanced NDT tools, Storage of the tools, Custom procedures in cross border inspection activities, Licencing, Safety of tools, Insurance of inspection tools, Updates of Software last version, Charge of Batteries, etc.., are activities, exclusively performed by our own personnel and according our internal management and technical procedures and work instructions
    • Performing Inspection Activities : Inspection activities are performed by Qualified Personnel. Inspection Tools are calibrated before each inspection, many times the tools are calibrated in the field, taking under consideration the specific circumstances of landscaping, geometry, materials specification, etc.. The Advanced NDT isnpection Service is delivered by a TEAM of 2 inspectors or Experts or Operators. The inspection Data are fully registered inthe memory of each inspection tool.
    • Data Registering : During inspection, our intelligent and hgh technology tools, are saving all inspection data into memory cards or dierecly transmitted throgh Bluetooth or Wi/FI connection to the related PC.
    • Evaluation of Data : Data are evaluated by the Field Inspector directly, but also i a later stage at the office facilities. The Field Qualified Inspector is signing his evaluation assessment and suggestions.
    • Technical Review of Inspection Data : Our Technical Director or Inspection Supervisor, having al least the qualification of Level III on the method to be evaluated, reviews and approve the results, signing the report to be delivered to the client.
    • Artificial Intelligence : Similar inspection Data, are registered into Swiss Approval servers, and after comparition analysis, the raw data are clasiffied and they constitutes the AI data base, in order to achieve a FIRST evaluation, during the inspection or moments later. Ownership of such raw data, is a big advantage for Swiss Approval added value services to the final customer.
